Chihiro Iwasaki (1918-1974) was a Japanese artist who was popular from the late 1950s; she was best known for her paintings and illustrations of flowers and children. While the museum is mainly devoted to her work, it also collects and shows original artwork from children's picture-book artists from around the world. (Note that the museum is closed for a few days between shows, so check their website.)
