Mura Kara Machi Kara Kan offers a selection of interesting local foods from around the country, so you'll find everything from artisanal salts and hot-pepper sauces to meats (sausages and hams), seaweed products and many, many styles of pickles. The liquor corner carries more than 100 types of sake, with lots of premium one-cup varieties along with plenty of shochu, awamori and fruit liqueurs. There's also an impressive "wall of curry," with dozens of local curries in retort pouches from around the country.

If you want to further explore local foods, there are at least a dozen prefectural "antenna shops" on the first floor and basement levels of the same building, specializing in food and drink products from individual prefectures around the country.
