This small-bird cafe in suburban Chiba Prefecture is set up like a pet shop, but the owner will bring a few parakeets and parrots out of their cages to play with if you ask. There's no cover charge other than the price of your coffee, which starts at around Y550 and comes with a small piece of cake. Given the remote location, it's probably not worth a special trip from Tokyo, but you might want to drop by if you're in the area, have a car, speak Japanese and like parakeets.
