By assembling several major galleries in one massive warehouse space, Terrada Art Complex has rather successfully pursued their mission of "making Tennoz Isle into a hub of artistic culture." The complex is now an important stop on any contemporary art tour of Tokyo, and with so many diverse independent galleries, there's almost always something of interest going on.
Galleries are concentrated on the third and fifth floors, and there are also frequent group shows happening in the fourth-floor event space. Check the website for individual gallery listings, or just show up and see what's on. If you're interested in architecture, you can combine a visit here with a trip to the nearby Archi-Depot architectural model museum and the Kengo Kuma-designed art-supply store Pigment as you explore the rest of the Tennoz waterfront area.
