Equipped with laser cutters, a 3D printer and similar machinery, Fab Cafe encourages its patrons to turn their stylish ideas into stylish physical objects. The bright and convivial space feels like a beehive of creative activity - lone patrons peck away industriously at laptops while small groups huddle together for informal meetings, while fabricators whir and coffee grinders buzz in the background.

Working sessions here are fueled by Fab's expertly pulled espresso beverages, made with single-origin coffee beans via the legendary Nozy Coffee in Ikejiri-Ohashi. The cafe also serves beer and wine, and a few sandwiches.

Frequent 3D-printing workshops are designed to help newcomers get started, and local designers and artists gather here for regularly scheduled lectures and community events. The cafe also runs design-data exchange programs with other fab spots around the world to help cross-pollinate ideas.
