This local west-Tokyo museum organizes an eclectic series of temporary exhibitions. Themes of past shows have included glass painting, illustrations for children's books, Finnish design, ukiyoe prints by Kuniyoshi Utagawa, a group show of local contemporary artists, and group shows by local art-school students. The museum's permanent collection is strong in nihonga, paintings made using traditional Japanese techniques and materials.
